Funeral rites for Ruby Houchin, a Ralls resident since 1947, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church of Ralls with the Rev. Howard Marcom, pastor, officiating. Interment was made in Ralls Cemetery.

Mrs. Houchin, 84, died at 2 p.m. last Wednesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after an extended illness.

The Delta County native was married to Samuel Houchin on Dec. 27, 1923 in Delta County. He died Dec. 4, 1962.

Survivors include four sons, Wayland of Ralls, Sam of Lake Isabella, Calif., James of Petersburg and Danley of Burbank, Calif.; two daughters, Lois Cansier of Glendale, Calif., and Mary Eastburn of Grove, Okla.; one brother; 11 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
