Services for Walter Lelland Hoppes, 69, of Rt. 1, Lubbock, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Resthaven-Singleton-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Elder Donald Ashdown of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating.

Burial was in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven-Singleton-Wilson Funeral Home.

Hoppes died at 10:25 p.m. Sunday in Methodist Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Hoppes moved to Lubbock in 1956. He moved here from San Angelo. He was a retired salesman and was married to Bernice Brockett Stacker Aug. 27, 1957.

Survivors include his wife; two son, Troyce Stacker and Clifton Stacker; four daughters, Sandra Curry, Moretta Clark and Joy Dorsett, all of Lubbock, and Janice Nadeau of Amarillo; a brother, Howard of Fort Myer, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
