Services for Calvin Holley, 81 of Ralls were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000, at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Bartley, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.He died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2000, at Lubbock's Covenant Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 4, 1918, in Keota, OK. He married Dora Viola Davis on Dec. 9, 1939, in Keota. He was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. He moved to Ralls in 1961 from Hale Center. He retired as manager of the Pleasant Hill Gin in 1984.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Viola Holley of Ralls; two sons, Carrol Holley of Wylie and Jerry Holley of Plains; a daughter, Kathy Robertson of Petersburg; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chip Holley, Justin Holley, Ronnie McQueen, Scott Darby, Tanner Robertson, Sterling Spencer and Ryan Robertson.
The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Association, 2630 W. Freeway, Ste. 202, Ft. Worth, TX 76102.
