Services for John L. Haynes, 80, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 1986 at Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 1986, in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in The Grove. He married Ruby Mae Fowler on March 13, 1932, in Gorman. She died December 18, 1985. He was a retired farmer and a 50 year member of the Emma Masonic Lodge. He moved to Lubbock in September 1984 from Gorman. He lived in Ralls for 27 years before moving to Gorman.

Survivors include a son, Johnny of Ralls; two daughters, Lexie Reese of Ralls and Ladenia Skipworth of Muleshoe; a brother, Will of Eastland; a sister, Jewell Jenne of Glendale, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
