Pattie was born 21 June 1862 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. He died 25 February 1940 in Ralls, Texas. He married Carrol Cole Colista Whitley on 14 February 1897 in Red Oak, Arkansas.Carrol was born 9 March 1878 in Lonoke County, Arkansas to James Knox Polk Whitley and Marguerite Morgan Whitley. She died 10 March 1965 in Crosbyton, Texas. Both are buried at Ralls, Texas.

Longtime Ralls Resident Dies
RALLS (Special) - Services for Mrs. P.Z. Harris, 87, resident of Ralls since 1924 who died in the Crosbyton hospital Wednesday afternoon, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. C.M. Fields, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. P.D. Fullingim, Lubbock.Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home here.
Survivors include five sons, Lelsie Otho and Ealey, both of Corpus Christi, D.G., Ralls, Roy, Dallas, and the Rev. Roscoe (Ike) Harris, Lubbock; four daughters, Mrs. Lela Howard, Fort Worth, Mrs. Ann Thomas, Comanche, Okla., Mrs. G.A. Fowler, Littlefield, and Mrs. E.L. Nicholson, Denver City; one brother, James Whitley, Little Rock, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. Nettie Granberry, Jacksonville, Ark.; 23 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
