RALLS (Special) - Services for Jessie Mae Harrell, 70, of Ralls will be at 3 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Howard Marcom, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. H.B. Coggin of Abernathy.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harrell died at 1:15 a.m. Friday in Ralls after a sudden illness.

She was a native of Munday. The former Jessie Mae Shaw married Roy W. Harrell Oct. 20, 1928, at Slaton. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She moved to Ralls in 1920 from Knox County.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Wayne of Lubbock, Lynn of Ralls, Kenneth of Littlefield and Roy Jr., of Sherman; a daughter, Pat Nunley of Ralls; four sisters, Irma Cox of Big Spring, Gladys Wheeler of Paris, Leona Coy of San Diego, Calif., and Dorothy Blocksom of Sweet Home, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Roy Harrell, a Ralls resident for 65 years, was claimed by death at 5:40 p.m. Monday at Crosbyton Hospital following a brief illness. He was 78.

Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ralls First United Methodist Church. Officiating were the Rev. Howard Marcom; a retried Methodist minister from Levelland, and the Rev. E.R. McGregory of Ralls.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery. Carter-Adams Funeral Home directed arrangements.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Born April 19, 1907, in Gorman, Mr. Harrell and the former Jessie Mae Shaw were married Oct. 20, 1928, in Slaton. She preceded her husband in death Dec.12, 1980.

Mr. Harrell was a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Wayne of Lubbock, Lynn of Ralls, Kenneth of Littlefield and Roy Jr. of Sherman; one daughter, Mrs. Pat Nunley of Ralls; a brother, Conda of Ralls; three sisters, Valera Milam of Lubbock, DeLois Francis of Rock Springs and Eunice Wilkinson of Copperas-Cove; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
