James Harkins Rites Saturday

CROSBYTON (Special) — Services for James Eddie Harkins 61, a longtime resident here, will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

Harkins died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday in a Crosbyton Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Blooming Grove, moving to Crosbyton in 1921.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma; two daughters, Mrs. Johnny Fenter, Lubbock, and Mrs. Eddie Shipman, Smyer; four sons, J.V., Lubbock; Jimmy, Crosbyton; Cecil Glen, stationed in California; and Johnny, Crosbyton; four brothers, John Melvin, Crosbyton; Leon, Big Spring; Richard, Lubbock and Ralls, Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Brints, Crane; Mrs. Lela Lott, Delano, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
