Services for Sid Hargrove, 84, of Lubbock were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 1989, in Faith Temple Church with the Rev. Don Messer, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
He died at 2:25 a.m. Friday, June 3, 1989, in South Park Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Rowlett and moved from Dallas to Lubbock in 1964. He married Pearl Traylor in February 1968 in Amarillo. He had been a carpenter and was a member of Faith Temple Church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Ann Hill of Tempe, Ariz., Barbara H. Hilty of Kerrville and Brenda Nelson of Denver, Colo.; six sons, Raymond D. of Houston, Dale and Jerry, both of Tucson, Ariz., Gerald of Waylie and Gene and Tom, both of Dallas; a stepson, Bill Young of Lubbock; two stepdaughters, Ruth Atchley of Lawton, Okla., and Betty Noe of Rockwall; three brothers, Herman of Huntsville, J.D. of Portales, N.M., and John of Dallas; 20 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
