Services for Loyd Gregory, 42, of Ralls were held Wednesday, July 15, 1998, at Ralls First Baptist church with the Rev. Ron Colwell, International Director of Walk to Emmaus in Nashville, TN, Rev. Gary Hubbard, pastor of the Ralls First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Gregory died Sunday, July 12, 1998, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born April 10, 1956, in Lubbock. He married Leigh Crenshaw on August 29, 1981, in Lorenzo. Gregory is preceded in death by his mother, LaVerne Gregory, who died May 9, 1996; and his father, Clarence Gregory, who also died July 12, 1998.

He was a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church. He was a 1974 graduate of Lorenzo High School and a 1980 graduate of Texas Tech University. He was employed by Crosby County Fuel Association.

He was a four-year member of the Ralls School Board and a member of the Texas Association of School Boards. He was a former member of the Pleasant Hill Co-Op Gin, the Lorenzo Grain Co-Op and a former member of the Crosby County Fuel Association Board. He served on numberous boards including the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District #1 and the Advistory Producer Board of the Associated Cotton Growers in Crosbyton. He was the former president of the Crosby County Farmers Union. He had lived in the Ralls area all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Leigh; one daughter, Carlie Gregory; two sons, Travis and Ryan Gregory; and one sister and her husband, Shirley and Tony Martin, all of Ralls.
