Obituary

Connie Gregory Services for Connie Gregory, 77, of Lorenzo were held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 198, at Acuff Church of Christ with Doyle Gilliam, officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

She died Wednesday, May 20, 1998, at her residence, Judge James Isbell ruled natural causes in the death.

She was born June 3, 1920, in Southland, TX, and married Harold Gregory on Aug. 11, 1940 in Lubbock, TX.

She graduated from Draughn´s Business College. She was co-founder of the Well Body Natural Food Store in Lubbock in 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of the Acuff Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife, Mom and Grandmother who loved to sew and quilt. She was also an avid Texas Tech Red Raider Fan.

She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Wayne Gregory in 1941 and Robert Allen Gregory; and by a sister, Eunice Marybell Sherrod.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Gregory; two daughters, Bobbie Young of Salem, OR, and Dee Miner of Snta Fe, NM; a brother, Jack Sherrod of Levelland; and 7 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Zeke Justice, Daniel Young, Joshua Young, Jonathan Young, Matthew Young, Casey Justice, and Samuel Young.

Services for Harold Gregory, 90, of Lorenzo were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 11, 2001, at Ralls Cemetery.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo.

He died on Friday, March 9, 2001 at his home.

He was born on Oct. 27, 1910, in Weinert, TX.

He married Connie Sherrod on Aug. 11, 1940, in Lubbock, TX. She died May 20, 1998.

He was 50+ year member of the Masonic Lodge in Levelland and the Domino Hall in Lorenzo. He was an avid Texas Tech Lady Raider Fan and loved to travel. He moved to the Slaton area in 1933 and was a former resident of Hockley County. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne Gregory in 1941 and Robert Allen Gregory in 1943, a brother, Dan Gregory, and a sister, Ruby Blackwell.

Survivors include two daughters, Bobbie Young of Salem, OR., and Dee Gregory of Sante Fe, NM.; three brothers, Howard Gregory of Floydada, Hayden "Buck" Gregory of Levelland and Buford Gregory of Lubbock, and seven grandchildren.
