IDALOU (Special) - Services for M. A. Greer, 91, of Idalou will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Idalou Church of Christ with Les Carey, minister, and Joseph Johnston of Crosbyton officiating.

Burial in Ralls Cemetery will be directed by Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Greer died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1993, at his residence. He was under hospice care.

He was born on May 11, 1902, near Covington in Hill County. He married Minnie E. Myers on Jan. 3, 1925, near Covington. She died on July 29, 1986. The couple moved to a farm near Old Emma after their marriage and lived near Ralls until 1938, when they moved to the Estacado Community. In 1940 they moved to a farm north of Lorenzo and in 1968 moved to Idalou. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Church of Christ and served on the first board of trustees of the Soil Conservation Service in Crosby county for eight years. He served on a number of committees during World War II, was a trustee of the Estacado school and a member of the Pleasant Hill Gin board of directors for several years. He was a 69-year member of Ralls Masonic Lodge 931.

He is survived by four sons, Weldon and Stumpy, both of Lubbock, Jerrell of Lorenzo and Rae of Calhoun, La.; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Craig Greer, Ricky Greer, Todd Greer, Gary Garth, Devin Peek and Charles B. Gray.
