U.S.Flag     Services for Charles B. Gray, 77, of Ralls, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 6, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Ralls with Rev. Floyd Haddock and Rev. Larry Carson officiating. Burial will follow at the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Charles passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005, at Lubbock's Covenant Medical Center.

He was born August 7, 1927 in Ralls, Texas to Rube and Gladys (Parker) Gray. He was a 1945 graduate of Ralls High School. Charles married Patsy Stephens in Crosbyton, Texas on July 14, 1945.

Charles served in the Navy during WWII. He served as the Mayor of Ralls from 1966-1968. In addition, he served his community as a member of both the Ralls City Council and White River Municipal Board for several years. He was also a former member of both the Ralls Lions Club and the Ralls Jaycee's. Living in the Ralls area all his life, Charles was a farmer and an insurance agent. Preceding him in death were his parents and a sister Mary Jane Parker.

Charles is survived by his wife Patsy, a son and his wife, Steve and Joanne Gray of Ralls. Two grandsons, Barrett Gray of Lubbock, and Geoff and April Gray of Seminole, and two great-grandchildren Keldon and Kaighan Gray.

Pallbearers were: Brian Snodgrass, Duwane Billings, Curt Summers, Scott Rundell, Eric Golle and Dev Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be; Bill Mayes, Dwayne Lynch, Jesse Reyes, Dwayne Moses, James Leftwich, Al O'Brian, Paul Langdon, Larry Ashley, Bob Wideman, Clyde Crump, B. L. Anderson and Buran House.
