RALLS (Special) — Services for Fabian Gonzales, 84, of Ralls will be at 4 p.m. today in St. Michael Catholic Church with Burial in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Gonzales died Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 20, 1912, in Hondo. He married Maria Pena on Aug. 1, 1938, in San Patricio. He moved to Ralls from Oregon in February 1996.
He was a farmer and a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Raul of Ralls, Jose of Boise, Idaho, Juan of Camby, Ore., Erasmo of Camby, Ore., and Fabian Jr. of Seattle, Wash.; six daughters, Ester Grandos of Floydada, Mary Trevino, Francis De Los Santos, Esperanza Gonzales and Olga Zuniga, all of Lubbock, and Rosa Sibley of Michigan; four brothers, Nicholas of Lubbock and Eluterio, Luciano and Jesus, all of Edinburg; three sisters, Catarina Molina and Beba Gonzales, both of Edinburg, and Ester Ledesma of Indiana; 34 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Rosary for Maria Pena Gonzales, 93, of Ralls will be at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the same church with Rev. Ernesto Lopez officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Maria died Sunday, August 29, 2010 at her home in Ralls. She was born May 14, 1917 in San Patricio to the late Juan and Lola (Garza) Pena. On August 1, 1938 she married Fabian Gonzales in San Patricio. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1996. Maria was a homemaker and attended St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. She moved to Ralls in 1996 from Canby, Oregon.
She is survived by five sons, Raul Gonzales of Ralls, Jose Gonzales of Idaho, Juan Gonzales of Canby, OR, Erasmo Gonzales of Woodmore, OR, Fabian Gonzales, Jr. of Sunnyside, WA; six daughters, Ester Grandos of Floydada, Mary Trevino of Lubbock, Francis De Los Santos of Lubbock, Esperanza Gonzales of Lubbock, Olga Zuniga of Canby, OR and Rosa Sibley of Michigan and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Gonzales, William Gonzales, Mario De Los Santos, Zackary Gonzales, Nicolas Bales and Dennis Hinojosa.
