Graveside services for Morris Eugene Goad, 67, of White River Lake were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2003, in the Ralls Cemetery with Joseph Johnston officiating.

Services were under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mr. Goad passed away Saturday, July 19, 2003, morning at his White River Lake Home.

He was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Ropesville and married Jacque Whitlock Sept. 1, 1957, in Ropesville. He was a truck driver and moved to White River Lake 12 years ago from Meadow. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He served his country for 23 years in the Army and in the Air Force. He served in 26 different countries while in the service. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Jacque, of the home; a son, Michael Goad of White River Lake; two daughters, Tammy Hobbs of Haskell and Nanell Goad of Pearl River, LA.; four brothers, Lester Goad, Jr., of Lubbock, Floyd Goad of Kingsland, Harold Goad of Canyon and Ken Goad of Marble Falls; and by five grandchildren, Heather Hankins and her husband, Brian, Christopher Hoobs, Eric Hobbs, Kalie Kreger and Kassie Kreger; and by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Vista Care Hospice, 7606 University Ave. - Suite C, Lubbock, TX 79423, or a favorite charity.
