Graveside Services for Emma Givens, 78, of Lockney were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2003, in Ralls Cemetery with the Elder Bill Sherman officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Sunday, June 29, 2003, in Lockney. She was born May 7, 1925, in Ralls. She married Joseph Givens on Dec. 7, 1947, in Clovis, NM.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Lockney First United Methodist Church. She moved to Lockney in 1998. She was a former resident of Early Ralls and Lubbock.
Survivors include: her husband, Joseph of Lockney; a daughter, Phyllis White of Jemez Springs, NM; and two grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer, both of Jemez Springs.

Joseph Givens, 89, formerly of Ralls, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 24, 2013 in Ralls Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Ken Haney, Chaplain of Interim Hospice in Amarillo officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Visitation will be held 6 to 7 P.M. Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.
Joseph was born on November 3, 1923 in Paris, Texas to Joel and Mabel McClain. He grew up in Ralls and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a farmer.
He married Emma Abel on December 7, 1947 and she preceded him in death on June 29, 2003. He then married Claudine Barrett on March 16, 2004.
He is survived by his daughter and two grandchildren, Phyllis White and husband Orville, Jennifer Larson and Jason White all of Jemez Springs, N.M.; his wife, Claudine Givens of Abernathy; four step-daughters; and a brother, Don Daily and wife Diane of Spring, TX.
