Services for Gladys Mimms Gilstrap, 92, of Richardson, formerly of Ralls, were held at 3 p.m. , Tuesday, Apr. 30, 2002, at Emma Church of Christ in Ralls with Tim Mills officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

She died Sunday, April 28, 2002 at IHS Village in Richardson, TX.

She was born July 13, 1909, in Rochester, TX.

She was a member of the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls and had worked for Carpenter Cleaners in Ralls for many years.

She moved to Richardson, TX several years ago from Ralls.

She is preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Weems in 1979 and a brother, Leroy Mimms.

Survivors include one daughter, Loyce Bower of Richardson, TX; four brothers, Darrell Mimms of Conway, Ark., G.W. "Pete" Mimms of Shallowater, Dalton Mimms of Deer Creek, Okla., and Marvin Mimms of Lazbuddie; six sisters, Jewel Taylor, Claudia Porter, Leona Blanton and Jerrine Parks, all of Lubbock, Doris Moorman of Clovis, N.M., and Merle McFarland of Ralls; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
