Graveside services for Lillie Mae Garner, 81, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 1988, in the Ralls Cemetery with Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.

Services were under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mrs. Garner died at 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 1988, in the Jeffrey Place Nursing Home in Waco after a brief illness.

She was born Jan. 28, 1907, in Mississippi and married Howard Garner Jan. 26, 1937, in Ralls. He preceded her in death Oct. 29, 1973.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church and the T.E.L. Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Ralls Senior Citizens and the Joy Club.

She moved to Ralls 52 years ago.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Rowell and Wayne Garner of Waco; one daughter, Vada Taylor of Grand Prairie; two sisters, Alma Turner of Sulphur Springs and Elsie Bennett of Dallas; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
