Graveside services for Lucas Garcia, 83, of Ralls will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 6, 2011 at the Ralls Cemetery Chapel. Burial will be at the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Lucas passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 at Trust point Hospital in Lubbock. He was born August 6, 1927 Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico. In 1953 he immigrated to the U.S. from Mexico and became a permanent resident. He married the love of his life Emelina (Gonzalez) Garcia April 2, 1967 in Mission. He was a good father, provider, teacher and a hard worker. Lucas loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Emelina Garcia of Ralls, four daughters, Celia Lopez of Arrey, N.M., Lupe Garcia and Penina Carrizales both of Lubbock, and Ruthie Garcia of Ralls, three sons, David Garcia of McAllen, Juvencio Garcia and Aaron Garcia (Mary Jane) both of Ralls, and 15 grandchildren, Leslie Anne Garcia, Jacob Lee Garcia, Seth David Garcia, Karina Victoria Garcia, Timothy Garcia, Joseph Andrew Garcia, Luke Edward Lopez, Matthew Marc Lopez, Hannah Kristian Lopez, Brianna Evalina Lopez, Ryan Lee Garcia, Kristiana Faith Garcia, Tori Sinese Garcia, Matthew Carrizales, and Steven Ray Salazar.
