RALLS (Special) - Arthur Abbott "Buck" Gannon, 70, of Odessa died at 3 a.m. Sunday in his home. He had been under care of Hospice of Odessa.

No services are planned. Private burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He was born in Spur and moved to Odessa in 1972. He married Jennie V. Basford on July 29, 1954, in Truth or Consequences, N.M. She died on Jan. 11, 1981. He then married Tommy Kinebrew on May 21, 1981, in Lovington, N.M. He was a farmer, rancher and an oil field roughneck and derrick man. He was a member of West Odessa First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, David Gannon of Abilene; two stepdaughters, Sarah Hyatt of Abilene and Linda Hennessey of Parachute, Colo.; a brother, Bill Gannon of Goodland, Kan.; six sisters, Winnie Ellis and Ora Baker, both of Spur, Virginia Dodson of Carlsbad, N.M., Mae Bingham of Lubbock, Dora Finch of Buffalo and Thelma Fletcher of Brownwood; and seven grandchildren.
