Services for Lloyd Gambrel, 75, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, 1989, in Lubbock´s St. John´s United Methodist Church with Rev. Ted Dotts, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mr. Gambrel died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 1989, in Lubbock´s St. Mary´s Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 4, 1914, in Kentucky and married Minnie Knott Parish Nov. 1, 1951, in Las Vegas, NM. He was a farmer, rancher and Realtor and a member of the St. John´s United Methodist Church in Lubbock.

A former resident of Roy, NM, and Ralls, he moved to Lubbock 15 years ago.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dean Gambrel of Atlanta, GA; Keith Gambrel, Deming, NM; one brother, James Gambrel of Arvada, CO; one sister, Julia Vive Gardner of Lubbock; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Harry Jung, G. J. Parkhill, Edwin Moore, Earl C. Abell, Mack Shurbet, Gene McLaughlin.
