Annie May Gallimore

A Crosby County pioneer who came to Old Emma in 1921 from Baylor County, Mrs. Annie May Gallimore, was claimed by death at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday in Lubbock Nursing Home. Mrs.Gallimore, 95, had suffered a lingering illness.

Memorial services are planned for 2 p.m. today (Thursday) in First Baptist Church of Lorenzo. Officiating will be the Rev. Jerry Golden, pastor of the Lorenzo church; the Rev. Bob Utley, pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church in Lubbock; and the Rev. I. D. Walker, pastor of First Baptist Church in Lubbock.

Burial is to be made in Ralls Cemetery, under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

Born June 12, 1884 in Montgomery, Ala., she was married to W. F. Gallimore on Oct. 26, 1902 in Bonham. He died in 1945.

Mrs. Gallimore moved to Lubbock following the death of her husband. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Cleve Gallimore of Crosbyton and Jessie C. Gallimore of Kress; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph Wheeler of Edmonson, Mrs. Bill Eason and Mrs. Leon Hale, both of Lubbock; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
