Obituary

Services for Elmer Marion Fudge, 77, of Ralls were held Saturday, October 21, in Ralls First Baptist Church. Officiating were Dennis May, Church of Christ Minister and Bobby Sanders.

Burial followed in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Fudge was born April 5, 1912 in Itasca, Texas. He died October 19, 1989 at 5:45 a.m. at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

He married Flora Pearlene Perry on September 16, 1939 in Hillsboro, Texas.

He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He had lived in the Ralls area since 1945.

He is survived by his wife of the home, 3 sons, George A. Fudge of Lubbock, Marion D. Fudge of Iowa Park and Conner P. Fudge of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Shirley M. Byrd of Wichita Falls and Virginia E. Reese of Ralls; 1 sister, Mae Wilkerson of Mesquite, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Serving as pall bearers were: Robbie Reese, Jim Talbott, Jason Fudge, Chris Houchin, Sam Shoemaker, Andy Fudge and Neil Summerford.

Honorary pall bearers were: Ancil Steele, James Williams, Vernon Mitchell and Clay Campbell.

The family suggest memorials to the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital Fund.

Flora Fudge

Services for Flora Pearlene Perry Fudge, 89, of Ralls will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 31, 2009 at the Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mrs. Fudge passed away Friday, August 28, 2009 in Lubbock. She was born November 25, 1919 in Hillsboro, Texas to the late Andrew Jackson and Mary Ellen (Cagle) Perry. On September 16, 1939 she married Elmer Marion Fudge in Hillsboro, Texas. He preceded her in death October 19, 1989. A homemaker and beautician, she worked at Mary's Beauty Shop in Ralls for several years. She lived in Crosby County most of her life moving here from Milford.

She is preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.

Survivors include five children, Shirley Byrd and husband Bob of Wichita Falls, Virginia Reese and husband Phil of Ralls, George Fudge and wife Rita of Lubbock, Marion Fudge and wife Becky of Iowa Park and Conner Fudge of Amarillo, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
