Graveside services for Alice Welch Fowler, 93, of Willcox, Arizona and formerly Ralls will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 30, 2003 at Ralls Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. She died May 25, 2003 in Tucson, Arizona.

She was born October 3, 1909 in West Newton, Massachusetts to John Maurice Welch and Mary Alice Haley Welch. She married Paul W. Fowler on August 24, 1946. He died Dec. 16, 1996. She and her husband were owners of the Fowler Brothers Phillips 66 Wholesale and service stations. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Ralls, Ralls Study Club,the Ralls First United Methodist Church and was Mother Advisor for Ralls Assembly of Rainbow Girls. A homemaker, she was an avid reader, wonderful cook, great dancer and loved her daily cocktail. She moved to Pearce/Sunsites, Arizona in 1990 from Kailua-Kona, HI. She lived in Ralls from 1948 to 1983. She always considered Ralls her home.

Survivors include: a son David Fowler, daughters; Joan Hay of Peoria, AZ, and Alice E. "A. E." Moses of Willcox, AZ, a sister Helen Welch of West Newton, MA, six grandchildren; Scott Hay of Maui, HI, Kim Hay Sturm of Glendale, AZ, Karen Fowler Ferrara of Sierra Vista, AZ, Beth Moses of Poughkeepsie, NY, Lance Fowler of Tucson, AZ, Trey Moses of Tyler, Texas, six great grandchildren; Jeffrey Hay, Christopher and Jennifer Sturm, Kenzie Fowler, Nick Ferrara Mattie Fowler, Sarah and Thomas Moses.

The family will receive friends at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2003. The family suggests memorials to Charles Wm. Leighton Hospice 319 W. Grant Willcox, Arizona 85643.
