Bernard D. Fort Is a Pneumonia Victim

Bernard D. Fort, a promising young man just in the bloom of his usefulness, died at the Gee home in Ralls Wednesday after a few days intense suffering of pneumonia.

Funeral services were conducted at the First Methodist Church Thursday morning at 11:00 o'clock, interment occurring in the Ralls cemetery.

All business houses of Ralls were closed form eleven to twelve as a mark of respect for the deceased.

Mr. Fort was born July 27th, 1890, and was married nine years ago to Miss Iba Mae Gee, to which union two children were born, one preceding him in death, another, Nina Mae, a daughter seven years of age, surviving with the loving wife. Other surviving relatives are a mother, two brothers and a sister, all of whom live at Nacogdoches, Texas.

Bernard Fort was a fine young man, honest, capable, a loving husband and kind and dutiful father. It is sad that he be called off the field of usefulness right in the prime of life, and the Banner joins the many friends of the family in extending condolence to the breaved loved ones.
