Services For W. J. Ford, 96, Held In Ralls

Funeral services for William J. Ford, 96, a resident of Ralls since 1935, were held in the First Baptist Church of Ralls at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Rev. Tommy Allen, pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. Bill Roland, pastor of Caprock Baptist Church.

Ford, a retired farmer, moved to Ralls from Denton County and had been living with his children there. He was the grandfather of Mrs. Truett Mayes of Crosbyton.

Survivors include four sons, G.E., T.H., and R.M., all of Ralls, and W. R. Ford, Bryson; two daughters, Mrs. Lela Tarleton, Ralls and Mrs. Leah Lewis, Andrews; a sister, Mary Jones, of Gunter; 22 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers and burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.
