Obituary

Services for Elizabeth Ford, 83, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Ralls, with the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ford died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday in Ralls Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

She was a native of Rock Hill, and married Garland E. Ford in Prosper September 9, 1912. She moved to Crosby County 50 years ago from Denton County.

Survivors include her husband; a son Lester of Lyons, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Ona Mae Martin of Ralls; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Garland E. Ford of Ralls, a Crosby County resident for 52 years, was claimed by death at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in West Texas Hospital, Lubbock. Mr. Ford was 88.

Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church of Ralls with the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor, officiating. Interment was made in Ralls Cemetery.

A farmer and a member of First Baptist Church, Mr. Ford and the former Elizabeth Kimbrough were married Sept. 15, 1912, in Prosper. Mrs. Ford died March 17, 1977.

The couple moved to Crosby County from Denton County.

Survivors include one son, Lester Ford of Lyons, Colo.; one daughter, Ona Mae Martin of Ralls; a brother, W.R. Ford of Lubbock; two sisters, Leia Tarleton of Ralls and Mrs. Charlie Lewis of Andrews; eight grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
