U.S.Flag Services for Jesse "Buddy" Ezzell, 70, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 1988, in Resthaven Funeral Chapel with retired Air Force Lt. Col. Philip E. Grimmett officiating.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

He died at 9:55 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 1988, at his home after an illness. He had been under a doctor´s care.

He was born in Rocky Mount, N.C., and moved from Minot, N.D. to Lubbock in 1987. He married Bonnie L. Martin on Nov. 22, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart and Silver Star Swards. He was a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger M. of Minot; three brothers, Joseph, Pat and Edwin, all of Rocky Mount; five sisters, Annie Dickinson, Billie Opal Guy, Mae Joiner and Jeanie Ruffin, all of Rocky Mount, and Louise Moore of Charlotte, N.C.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mark LaFon, Rudy LaFon, Richard Brown, Tony Martin, Ronnie Pyle and James Martin.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, Inc.
