Services for Billy Ray Evatt, 61, of Lubbock and formerly of Ralls, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 1993, in the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls with James Eubank, a retired Church of Christ minister from Brady and Vance Davis, minister of the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls officiating.

Burial will follow in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mr. Evatt died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, 1993, in Lubbock´s St. Mary´s Hospital following a lengthy illness.

He was born Dec. 21, 1931 in Owens, Texas and married Betty Hebert Oct. 21, 1954 in Bridge City, Texas.

He was active in Future Farmers of America in Ralls High School. He was a farmer and a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Navy. He was a member of the Lakeside Church of Christ in Lubbock. He moved to Lubbock in 1988 from Ralls.
