Graveside services for Elmer Evans, 88, of Ralls were at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2001, at the Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Hubbard officiating.

Burial was in the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died on Saturday, January 6, 2001, at the Crosbyton Hospital.

He was born Feb. 14, 1912, in Oklahoma.

He married Doris Vaughan on March 7, 1939, in Floydada.

He was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church and a charter member of the Ralls Lions Club. He moved to Ralls in 1951 from Liberty Hill. He was a postman.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Evans of Ralls; two daughters, Juanell Carter of Conroe and Sisty Cypert of Ralls; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
