
Graveside services for Doris V. Evans, 84, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Floyd Haddock officiating.Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
She died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at Ralls Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Liberty Hill, TX. She married Elmer Troy Evans on March 7, 1939, in Floydada, TX. He died Jan. 6, 2001.
She was a member of Ralls First United Methodist Church and the Ralls Senior Citizens. She was voted senior citizen of the year in 1986. She worked at Danner´s Department Store for 20 years.
She moved to the Ralls area in 1951 from Liberty Hill, Texas.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Juanell Carter of Conroe and Sisty Cypert of Ralls and her husband Cleve; 1 brother, Hershel Vaughan of Kingwood; 5 grandchildren, Karla Fratt & Ron of New Waverly, Klark Bishop and Brenda Conroe, Casce Brown and Buddy of Carrollton, Todd Cypert and Brenda of Levelland, Kelly Bishop and Ila of Cold Spring; 17 great-grandchildren, Daniel Fratt, Lezleigh, J.D. & and Sarah Heinrich, Daniel & Rachel Bown, Dusty, Kyle, and Lauren Bishop, Kassie, Seth and Taylor Cypert, Shannon McCaleb, Shawn Ingram, Maive, Kelsey & Bobby Luke Bishop; and one great-great-grandchild, McKenzie McCaleb.
