RALLS (Special) Services for Moises Martinez Esqueda, 69, of Ralls will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the New Life Church with the Rev. Onesimo Acosta, pastor, and the Rev. Jesus Cisneros, pastor of Ministerios Nueva Vida in Lubbock, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Esqueda died Saturday, July 29, 1995, at University Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Frio County. He married Susana Ayala on March 19, 1944, in Dilley. She died Aug. 15, 1992. A son, Oscar Esqueda, died July 2, 1972.

He worked for the Ralls schools and formerly operated a Fina station in Ralls. He was also a farmer. He was a Navy veteran. He was a charter member and head elder of New Life Church. He moved to Ralls in 1965 from Cotton Center.

Survivors include a son, Hector of Denver City; a daughter, Norma Gonzales of Denver City; four brothers, Carlos and Willie, both of Dilley, Sonny of Lubbock and Mario of Dallas; a sister, Jesusa Mata of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Oscar Esqueda, Hector Esqueda, David Esqueda, Damian Esqueda, Toby Gonzales and Steven Gonzales.
