Graveside Services for Gus Drennon, 86, of Brownfield and formerly Ralls were held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 14, 2004 at the Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Pat Lewis officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Thursday, August 12, 2004 in Brownfield.

He was born March 28, 1918 in Paris, Texas to Robert and Edith Mullins Drennon.

He married Beryl Amanda Richardson on February 13, 1958 in Sioux City, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on June 30, 1996.

Gus was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He worked as a mechanic and drove a truck for 66 wholesale in Ralls for several years. He lived in Ralls for 31 years before moving to Brownfield six years ago.

He is preceded in death by two stepsons; Richard and Edwin Hunt.

Survivors include a son; Don Drennon of Brownfield, a daughter; Karen Smith of Mapel Falls, WA, a stepdaughter; India Clark of Jackson, GA, two brothers; Robert Drennon of Midland and Paul Drennon of Hemphill two sisters; Gertrude Drennon of Brownfield Lola Robinson of Levelland, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
