Services for Jesusita Garcia Diaz, 84, of Crosbyton were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2001 at Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Silva officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

She died Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at her home in Crosbyton.

She was born May 29, 1917, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

She married Juan O. Diaz on Nov. 22, 1935, in Ballinger. He died Dec. 3, 1994.

She was a member of the Mission El Calvario Baptist Church and the Mission Ladies Group. She was a homemaker and mother. She moved to Crosbyton in 1970.

She is preceded in death by two sons, Juan Jr. in 1998 and Joe in 1970.

Survivors include one son, Alfred Diaz of Lubbock; six daughters, Phyllis Perez of Ralls, Tommie Madrid and Margarita Guzman, both of Fort Worth, Lydia Moralez and Linda Silva, both of Crosbyton, and Olivia Arredondo of Lubbock; a brother, Isaac Garcia of San Antonio; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
