Services for Jesse Diaz, 52, of Ralls were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at St. Michael´s Catholic Church in Ralls with the Rev. Leonardo Pahamtang officiating. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at the same church. Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at Amarillo Veterans Administration Hospital. He was born Nov. 8, 1950, in O´Donnell to Andrew and Francis Maria Barrera Diaz.

He was a member of St. Michael´s Catholic Church. He was a farmer and had worked for Gary-Jordan and Owens Coop Gin. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam.

Survivors include three sons: Andrew and his wife, Jennifer of Lubbock, Ricky and Jonathan, both of Ralls; seven brothers: Michael, Ismael, and Jerry, all of Ralls, Robert of North Little Rock, AR, Edward of Dallas, Isaac of Lubbock, Pete of Oceanside, CA; nine sisters: Isabel Coker, Lidia Mendez, Olga Hernandez, Mary Jane Garcia and Mary Ann Diaz of Ralls, Crystal Salazar of Lubbock, Nancy Concha of Bartlett, Janie Escobedo of Temple and Greg Rosas of Waco; a granddaughter, Abrianna Diaz of Lubbock; and a fiance, Norma Flores of Ralls.
