Services for Andrew Diaz, 86, of Ralls were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 1999, at St. Michael´s Catholic Church in Ralls with the Rev. Leonardo Pahamtang, pastor, officiating.Rosary was held at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 1999 at the St. Michael´s Catholic Church.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
He died Sunday, June 27, 1999, at Lubbock´s University Medical Center.
He was born November 30, 1912, in Belton,TX.
He married Francis Marie Barrera on January 19, 1949, in Rule, TX. She died in April 1994.
He was a member of the St. Michael´s Catholic Church in Ralls. He was a farmer. He moved to Ralls in 1962 from O´Donnell.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gabino Diaz.
Survivors include eight sons, Jesse Diaz, Michael Diaz, and Ismael Diaz all of Ralls, Robert Diaz of Mesquite, Eddie Diaz and Jerry Diaz, both of Lubbock, and Peter Diaz of Oceanside, CA; nine daughters, Lidia Mendez, Olga Hernandez, Mary Jane Garcia, Mary Ann Diaz and Crystal Salazar, all of Ralls, Isabelle Coker of Lafayette, La., Nancy Concha of Bartlett, Greg Rosas of Waco and Janice Escobedo of Temple; a sister, Narcilina of California; 28 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
