LUBBOCK — John Maxwell DeJong, 62, of Lubbock died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. John�s United Methodist Church. Burial will be prior to the service in Ralls Cemetery. Arrangements are by Combest Family Funeral Home of Lubbock.
Mr. DeJong was born Aug. 4, 1950, in Le Mars, Iowa, to Bernard and Winifred DeJong. He has been with Jean Thomas since 1979 and married on Oct. 15, 2012, in Iowa.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Marc DeJong of Urbandale, Iowa; and a sister, Mary Gantz of Iowa City, Iowa.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
