• Edmond P. Crump, Father of Owen Crump, Passes Away

Edmond Peter Crump, father of Owen Crump, died in a Lubbock hospital Monday. He had been ill for three weeks.

Funeral services for Crump, 91, were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Cone Baptist Church. Rev. Harold Bostick, the pastor, officiated, assisted by Rev. I.D. Walker, Lubbock.

The retired farmer was a native of Haynesville, Louisiana. A charter member of the Cone Baptist Church, he moved to South Plains in 1905.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Nodie Gillespie, Lubbock; and four sons, Orban, Houston; Owen, Crosbyton; Cleatice, Hereford, and Edmond, Plainview.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery.
