Obituary

RALLS (Special) — Services for Charlie Crone, 70, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor of First Baptist Church in Seagraves, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Crone died about 6 p.m. Tuesday in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Bell County and moved to Ralls in 1921. A farmer, he married Vera Reba Herring, Dec. 6, 1942, in Ralls.

He was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nan Williams of Lubbock; a son, Bill of Ralls; a sister, Lucille O´Briant of Lubbock; and four grandchildren.

RALLS (Special) — Services for Vera Reba Crone, 80, of Ralls will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

She died at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a brief illness.

She was born in Collinsville. She married William Charlie Crone Dec. 6, 1942, in Ralls. He died Nov. 24, 1981. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church, the Quilting Club and Ralls Senior Citizens. She moved to Ralls in 1921 from Collinsville.

Survivors include a son, Bill of Ralls; a daughter, Mrs. Clinton (Nan) Williams of Lubbock; two brothers, Robert Herring of Dallas and Doyle Herring of Lubbock; two sisters, Elsie Dickson of California and Jean Blitz of Lubbock; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
