Cris Criswell

U.S.Flag   Services for J. W. "Cris" Criswell, 90, of Crosbyton were held Monday, September 10, 2007 at the Crosbyton Assembly of God Church with Rev. Patrick Lewis and Rev. Miguel Casanova officiating. Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mr. Criswell passed away Friday evening, September 7, 2007 at his Crosbyton home.

He was born October 18, 1916 in Crosby County to the late John William and Mary (Caldwell) Criswell, Sr. On May 12, 1946 he married Marjorie Schoolcraft in Ralls. They moved to Crosbyton in 1949 from Spur. A member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church he was a Conoco jobber owning Criswell Oil Company for 38 years in Crosbyton. He served in the US Air Force during WWII.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Dewey M. Criswell and two sisters, Estelle Hart and Mildred Hodges.

Survivors include his wife; Marjorie of Crosbyton, three sons and their wives; David and Lori Criswell of Lubbock, Roger and Mary Criswell of Austin and Scott and Jennifer Criswell of Euless, one daughter and her husband; Mary Beth and David Livingstone of Colleyville, one bother; James Alford Criswell of Springdale, Arkansas, three sisters; Zelna Floyd of Jayton, Eunice Sugg of Paris, Texas and Rose Marie Roberts of Arlington, Texas, nine grandchildren; Bryan and Christy Livingstone of Chicago, Illinois, Eden and Jim Vaughn of Richardson, Texas, Alisa Livingstone of Colleyville, Texas, Amy and Brad Lawrence of Cairo, Egypt, Kelly Criswell of Lubbock, Isaac Criswell of Austin, Courtney Criswell of Giddings, Texas, Amanda and Ryan Oliver of Baird, Texa and Nick Criswell of Euless and two great grandchildren, Kaley and Emily of Baird.

Serving as casket bearers will be David Criswell, Roger Criswell, Scott Criswell, David Livingstone, Bryan Livingstone and Isaac Criswell.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Lubbock, 1102 Slide Road, Lubbock, Tx 79416.
