Services for James Leldon "Bud" Cox, 61, who died about 1 p.m. Thursday in a Floydada hospital, were held in Cone Methodist Church Saturday.

Officiating was the Rev. Carl Neal, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Rex Newkirk of Post and Joe Jackson of Cone. Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Cox was a native of Hamilton County and a farmer. He moved to Lorenzo from Hamilton County in 1920 and attended schools in Lorenzo. He moved to Morton in 1931 and then to the Cone area in 1938.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel; two sons, Kenneth "Overalls" and Roy of Fort Worth; three daughters, Mrs. Donville Moore of Crosbyton and Mrs. Delamn Hilton and Linda, both of Lubbock; three brothers, Lewis of Stephenville and Jesse and Earle, both of Lubbock; a sister, Mrs. Jewel Little of Ralls; and four grandchildren.
