Memorial services for widely-known Ralls resident Billie Couch, 51, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Ralls Church of Christ with Houston Green and Kenneth Avaritt officiating. Interment was made in Ralls Cemetery.

Mrs. Couch died Monday at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a brief illness.

The Couch family has owned and operated the White´s store in Ralls for two decades.

Mrs. Couch was the mother of Connie Clark, whose husband Matt is head boys basketball coach in Crosbyton.

A Paris, Tex., native, the deceased moved in 1964 to Ralls from Anton. She and James T. Couch were married July 24, 1949, in Anton.

Mrs. Couch was a member of East Side Church of Christ in Crosbyton.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Rodney Couch of Ralls; two daughters, Connie Clark of Crosbyton and Diana Buck of Lubbock; her mother, Mrs. Ollie DeFreese of Ralls; a brother, Charles DeFreese of Telephone; two sisters, Mrs. Edd Thomasson of Savory and Mrs. Jamie LeWallen of Floydada; and five grandchildren.
