Private services for Clyde L. Cottrell, 76, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Carter Funeral Home Chapel with theRev. Floyd Haddock, pastor of the First Baptist Church here, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dick Richards, pastor of the First United Methodist Church here.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery.

Cottrell died at 11:50 p.m. Monday at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

The Avondale, Colo., native moved to Ralls in 1940 from Oklahoma City, Okla. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Lions Club, Emma Lodge 931 and Woodmen of the World.

He was a member of the Catch All Eight Square Dance Club, the Solo Square Dance Club, the Merry Mixers Square Dance Club and the Singles Square Dance Club.

Survivors include a son, Bill L. of Ralls; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Shelton of Ridgecrest, Calif., and Mrs. Eva Holland of Altus, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
