Graveside services for Vera Nadene Cornelius, 90, of McAllen was held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 27, 2005 in the Ralls Cemetery with Rev. Larry Carson officiating. Burial is under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Mrs. Cornelius passed away Friday, December 23, 2005 in McAllen.She was born December 24, 1914 in Tioga, Texas to the late Delbert and Bonnie (Williams) Adamson. On October 29, 1937 she married Jasper A. "Buck" Cornelius. He preceded her in death May 3, 2001. She was a Baptist and a teacher. She is preceded in death by a son, Harold Wayne Cornelius who passed away April 18, 1975, by a sister, Mary Jean and a brother Donald Adamson.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Minter of Burleson, Texas, 2 brothers, D. R. Adamson of Tahoka and Robert Adamson of Dalhart, 2 sisters, Daurene Hoover of Amarillo and Melba Clem of Tahoka, 3 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
