RALLS (Special) - Services for Lavene Belle Cornelius, 60, of Ralls will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Emma Church of Christ with Dennis May minister, officiating.Burial will be in City of Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
She died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in Ralls Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Lubbock County and had lived in Ralls since she was 6 months old. She married Herman J. Cornelius, Jr. on Dec. 16, 1944 in Crosbyton. She was a member of the Emma Church of Christ and the Ralls Chamber of Commerce. She was the chief telephone operator at Ralls General Telephone for 17 years. She worked for Cecil C. Reese Insurance Agency for 13 years and was co-owner of Ralls Insurance Agency for 7 years.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Eugene and Mike of Houston and Danny of Crosbyton; a brother, Darrell Danner of Oak Grove, La; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
