Graveside services for Herman Jones Cornelius, Jr., 67, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 1992 in Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of Ralls First Baptist Church, officiating.Burial was under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
He died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 1992, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Mount Calm. He married Laverne Belle Danner on Dec. 16, 1944, in Crosbyton. She died July 30, 1988. He married Joy Lesly Dec. 1, 1988, in Snyder. He was a farmer and a member of Ralls First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Eugene of Lubbock, Mike of Houston and Danny of Abita Springs, LA; three stepsons, Thomas Lesly, Chris Lesly and Joel Lesly, all of Ralls; his mother, Julia Cornelius of Ralls; two brothers, Gene of Lubbock and Bob of Bagwell, a sister, Jane Ann Davis of Ralls; six grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
