Services for Millie Cooper, 59, of Ralls were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 1990 in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating. Assisting was Dennis May, minister of the Emma Church of Christ.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

She died at 8:07 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, 1990 in University Medical Center from injuries suffered in an auto accident.

She was born in Roaring Springs on April 20, 1931. She married C.R. "Doc" Cooper on July 22, 1948, in McAdoo. He died June 24, 1989. She moved to Ralls in 1953. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a purchasing agent for the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital for many years. A sister, Jean Hale, died in 1957.

Survivors include a son, Buzz of Ralls; her parents, Alvie and Beulah Melton of Roaring Springs; a brother, Buddy Melton of Lubbock; two sisters, Marie Dempsey of O´Donnell and Billie Hedges of College Station; and two grandsons.
