Doc Cooper

RALLS (Special) - Services for C.R. "Doc" Cooper, 74, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Dennis May, minister of the Church of Christ, will assist.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Cooper died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Hill County and moved to Ralls in 1953. He had operated a cotton gin in the Ralls area since 1946. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 931 and the Ralls Lions Club and was former assistant fire chief of the Ralls Volunteer Fire Department. He married Millie Melton on July 22, 1948, in McAdoo.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Buzz of Ralls; two sisters, Mary Halford of Portales, N.M., and Lorene Brantley of Lubbock; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.
