W. Travis Cook Funeral Is Held In Ralls Monday

Funeral services for William Travis Cook, 76, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 10, in the Ralls First Baptist Church, with Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor, officiating. Masonic graveside rites followed in the Ralls cemetery, under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mr.Cook died about noon Saturday in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 23, 1902 in Eastland County, Texas, and married Margaret O. Mahanna Sept. 10, 1920 in Lampasas. She died October 16, 1975.

He was a member of the Lorenzo Masonic Lodge, and owned and operated Cook Electric in Ralls. He moved to Crosby County, in April of 1924 from Lampasas.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Zenna Watkins, El Paso; Mrs. James Crowley, Ralls, and Mrs. Marion Tyer, Fort Worth.

Two brothers, John Cook of Fort Worth, and Melvin Hogg of Springer, N.M. One sister Mrs. Maggie Sims, of Corpus Christi.

Also 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
