Services for Quinteen Cole, 77, of Lorenzo were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 1997, in the Lorenzo First United Methodist Church with Rev. Namiqa Shipman, pastor and Rev. Don Boren, pastor of the Friona First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Lorenzo.

Mr. Cole died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, following an accident 4 miles East of Guthrie, TX.

Mr. Cole was born Dec. 28, 1919, in Knox City, TX, and married Dorthy Lee Woodard on July 19, 1941, in Clovis, NM. She preceded him in death on Nov. 6, 1995. He was a member of the Lorenzo Masonic Lodge and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was an active member of the Lorenzo Senior Citizens. He moved to the Lorenzo area in 1945.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Gerry and Carolyn Cole, and Darrell and Debra Cole all of Lubbock; two brothers, Mock Cole of Moriarty, NM, and Garland Cole of Safford, AZ; one half-brother, Jimmy Cole; four half-sisters, Judy Slusher, Jackie Brock, Janet Magness and Mary Mitchell; four grandchildren, Robin Landes, Dusty Cole, Randy Cole, and Daniel Cole; and one great-grandchild, Shelbi Landes.
