RALLS (Special) - Graveside services for Gladys "Gad" Chote, 65, of Ralls will be at 11 a.m. today in Ralls Cemetery with Lewis Garnett of Lubbock officiating.

The Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of Ralls First Baptist Church, will assist, and burial will be directed by Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Chote died at 11:08 p.m. Wednesday in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was a longtime resident of Crosby County. She married Nelton Chote on Sept. 19, 1943, in Ralls. She graduated from Ralls High School and was a Crosby County 4-H leader. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and a lifetime member of the Confederate Air Force.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Dale of Ralls; a daughter, Dannie Carlisle of Ralls; a brother, D.K. Stevens of Lubbock; three sisters, Toni Woodruff of Lubbock and Vera Findley and Vuyneta Jones, both of Ralls; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Steve Gray, Davey Abell, Larry Thompson, Donnie Powell, Forrest Griffin and David Heinrich.
